Department Introduction :
The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering was established in the year 2007 and Bachelor Engineering degree course for 4 years was started under affiliation from Rajeev Gandhi Proudhyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal.
In view of over whelming response from students and outstanding results achieved Management introduced M. Tech degree courses in Embedded system & VLSI Design in the year 2011.
This programme designed in such a manner that it gives adequate emphasis on Electronics fields & communication technology. In tune with above objective, the syllabus includes core courses like Analog and Digital Communication, Digital Signal Processing, Microprocessor and microcontroller, Electronics Devices & Linear Integrated Circuits etc. Thus the content of syllabus gives a balanced & holistic coverage of theory & practice of knowledge. The core program is supplemented and further reinforced by a well chosen set of elective courses enabling the students to specialize either in hardware & software aspect of Engineering.
Electronics & Communication Engineering course offers ample opportunities for employment in Electronics & Software field. Because of best teaching facilities available in the department, a good number of students fetch excellent placement in globally renowned companies.

M3. Strengthening of soft skills especially of rural students, through co-curricular & extra –curricular activities.
M4. Creating awareness & thrust for life –long learning through interaction with outside world regarding contemporary issues, technological advancements, trends and entrepreneurship.
Programme Educational Objectives ( PEOs ) :

Graduates will be capable to study, design and analyze the electronic circuits and equipments.

To inculcates the thrust for life-long learning and guide them to obtain thorough knowledge in their chosen fields and also motivate them for higher studies/research.

Graduates will Comprehend, analyze, design, and create novel products and solutions for the real life problems with good scientific and engineering breadth.

Graduates will be professional and ethically sound in communication skills, teamwork capability, multidisciplinary approach, and will relate engineering issues to a broader social context.

Graduates will be aware of excellence in academic environment, leadership, written ethical codes and guidelines for a successful professional career.
Program Outcomes ( POs ) :
Engineering Graduates will be able to:
Engineering Knowledge
a) Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, Electronics and communication engineering fundamentals to solve the complex engineering problems of domain.
Problem analysis
b) By identifying, formulating, reviewing research literature, analyzing complex engineering problems and then with data of above able to reach substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and electronics and communication engineering concepts.
Design /Development of Solutions
c) Design solutions for complex Electronic and communication engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate considerations for public health and safety, and cultural, societal and environmental considerations.
Conduct investigations of complex problems
d) Utilizes research-oriented knowledge and related methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Modern Tool Usage
e) Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction of problem and modeling to complex Electronics and Communication Engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations and applicability.
The Engineer and Society
f) Apply the contextual knowledge imparted to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice in Electronics and Communication Engineering area.
Environment and Sustainability
g) Understand the impact of Electronics and Communication Engineering professional solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge need for sustainable development in the domain.
Ethics
h) Apply ethical principles and commitment to professional ethics, responsibilities regulations and norms of the Electronics and Communication Engineering practice in the society.
Individual and Team Work
i) Functions effectively as an individual as a member or leader in diverse teams and also in multidisciplinary activities concerned to the Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Communication
j) Communicates effectively on complex Electronics and Communication Engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations and give and receive clear instructions.
Project Management and Finance
k) Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Electronics and Communication engineering and related management principles along with economy and apply these to own work as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
Life-long learning.
l) Recognizes the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological changes come across in Electronics and Communication Engineering in future.
Program Specific Outcomes ( PSOs ) :
PSO 1: Technical Skills: An ability to understand the basic concepts in Electronics & Communication Engineering and apply them to various areas, like communication, networking, signal processing, embedded systems and semiconductor technology with specific modules and systems.
PSO 2 : Problem-Solving Skills: An ability to solve complex Electronics and communication Engineering problems, using latest hardware and software tools, along with analytical skills to arrive cost effective and appropriate solutions.
PSO 3: Successful Career and Entrepreneurship: An understanding of social-awareness & environmental-wisdom along with ethical responsibility to have a successful career and to sustain passion and zeal for real-world applications using optimal resources as an Entrepreneur.
