IBM COE at IES College of Technology, Bhopal was inaugurated on 7/06/2013. 150 IBM Software Centre of Excellence covering 21 states in more than 100 locations. The IBM Center of Excellence is an awesome initiative in field of IT education. The Great Mind Challenge contest promotes students from engineering colleges from across India to develop real life solutions, in a real life scenario using IBM open source software. IBM assists the students not only to come across real time project scenarios but also helps them with free hands on training sessions in the new technologies

Microsoft Corporation (India) Pvt. Ltd.launched of 14 Microsoft Innovation Centers (MICs) in India, signing MoUs with leading academic institutions across four states. IES College Institutions, Bhopal provides students, customers and partners with the comprehensive set of programs and services. The goal of this center is to foster innovation and growth in local software economies.

Remote Centre by IIT, Mumbai--
A Remote Center (RC) is a place from where the participants/people can interact with the instructor (faculty at IIT) who is conducting the course or delivering a lecture from IIT Bombay. The live lectures are transmitted at Remote Centers using A-VIEW software.
- The Remote Center (RC) is usually a reputed engineering college with good facility and infrastructure.
- It acts as a host for the virtual classroom environment created by A-VIEW.
- The participant can attend the workshop in a RC close to his/her place.

The Department of Placement & Training is recognized for its ability to plan and implement value added programs such as the Personality development programs, Technology Training Programs and Bridge Courses in the areas of interest and requirements for the industry. This adds to the credentials of the students and builds the quality of the engineering professionals from the college.
Placement and Training Department is also providing necessary Pre-Placement Training for the pre-final year students in the form of Pre-Placement talks arranged of various industries / corporate, training from the seniors on nature of the written test being imparted and process of interview of different industries. Placement Department also regularly organizes talks from the various professionals from different universities for pursuing higher education in abroad and talks from trainers for taking competitive exams like CAT, GMAT, Aptitude etc.
